I never played a barbarian before, is he even worth investing time? Playing as melee character (who rely on Attack Rating to hit) in this game can be very unforgiving. Now I'm considering building a barbarian, but not sure what I can farm with him - his Magic Find will be extremely low (50 from the set and that's it).
However, I had moderate success with set items and recently dropped the last piece of Immortal King set. Also have a javazon which was very fun to play in Nightmare, but in Hell she cannot kill anything so I stashed her away for awhile.Īll my characters have medium gear and almost no high runes (they never drop in Plugy, it seems).
Tried Baal runs with him but my merc cannot reliably handle magic-immune minions in the throne room, so that didn't work. The set is the only set item which completes all the six important vestments in a character: helm, body armor, belt, gloves, boots and a weapon and also has one of the most bonuses gained (if collected many) with each item and also the full set bonus. I also have a hammerdin that I farm Diablo with, but without Enigma it's slow - chasing mages while decrepified is very annoying. I have a blizzard sorcerer which I mainly use to farm Hell Mephisto and do some AT runs. I've been playing Single Player (Plugy) for little over 3 months and built a couple of characters, but for now stuck at farming better gear. As title suggests, asking for advise from seasoned players what IK barb is good for.
